Hopeless.. November 19, 2008 Jaycee (Portland) I bought this reasonably priced MP3 player so I could take it for a 2-mile walk every morning. When it plays, it's absolutely wonderful.. unfortunately, it doesn't always play. I downloaded firmware from Sansa Clip when I first experienced problems with playback, but it only resolved the problem on a temporary basis.. it continued to work only off and on. I am going down to Apple today and buy an inexpensive iPod (favorably compared price-wise with Sansa Disk) because if I run into these kinds of problems in the future, I will at least have support close to hand, unlike Sansa clip which --now we're talking what's included in the packaging here-- no user info other than a "quick start" guide which answers no questions at all. Even the downloaded .pdf "Users Manual" does not address or correct the problems with playback encountered. I'm not going bankrupt over $45, but it's irritating none the less. It gets two stars because when it is working, it's wonderful.
Perfect for podcasts November 2, 2008 Frances Laux (Las Vegas, NV USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I wanted an MP3 player so that I could listen to podcasts. In general, MP3 players aren't geared to podcasts as there is no "pause" feature. If you're interrupted, you have to go back and search for where you left off. Very annoying. Enter SanDisk and the Sansa Clip. It's tiny, so I can carry it anywhere and it has a "resume" button. PERFECT. Additionally, the sound quality is excellent and the ear buds are comfortable enough, although I still prefer small head phones. I own other SanDisk products and I'm totally sold on the brand. The quality is always good.
Great performance in a small package October 12, 2008 K. Peng (Seattle, WA United States) Great MP3 player if you are looking for a player that is very small and easy to use. Great for working out and travel. While the player doesn't have all of the "bells and whistles" that some of the other players have with video capabilities and such, I am really impressed with how easy it is to transfer songs to this player and portable it is.
Sansa Clip is a great deal. September 30, 2008 Always Reading (Maryville, TN USA) I love my Sansa Clip. I got it to listen to audio books and it's great for that. The 2GB memory holds several books at once and the rechargable battery is a big plus.
Excellent little player until... September 20, 2008 Chris (Macon, GA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For the first couple of months after I purchased the Sansa Clip, I really liked it. After a few months, it started to get buggy (would pause/lock up when in "hold" mode". Updating firmware did not help. Eventually, it stopped working all together. Am attempting to return for replacement under warranty.
