Product Description Experience the thrill of captaining your own boat while searching for undersea riches in Deadliest Catch Alaskan Storm for your Windows PC. Battle 40-foot waves, storms, ice and a nearly 100-percent crewmember injury rate on the icy Bering Sea. Select one of 5 real crab boats featured on the Discovery Channel series, or create and customize your own boat. Then choose your own crew from a roster of 20 real crab fishermen. Selecting the wrong boat or crew member can lead to disaster. Lead your fatigued, hungry and hardworking crew in the search for King Crab and Opilio Crab, while battling to secure your catch before other crews get there first. Realism is added with 4 real Bering Sea harbors and 34,000 miles of real Bering Sea coastline created from the United States Geological Survey. Weather and fishing conditions are based on authentic weather data and get worse each season. The ultimate goal is to return safely each season, upgrade your boat and crew, and attempt to break the real-life Captain Sig Hansen's actual lifetime catch of twenty million pounds.

Too slow November 17, 2008 six20 (Texas) Good game. Takes forever to load and it takes forever to play but if you need a game that burns up some time this is it.
I Really Wanted to Like This Game October 9, 2008 aldnikki6 (Massachusetts) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I never got a chance to play it. The game wouldn't play after I installed it. Said I needed to upgrade my graphic card. After doing that I was able to go into the game to play but it ran so choppy that it wasn't even worth it.
Deadliest Catch September 28, 2008 ChrisMan (California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this game. It would not work on my old PC but works great on my new one. The graphics are excellent and it is challenging enough for kids over 40.
deadliest catch alaskan storm September 21, 2008 here&now 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I downloaded a trial on discovery.com and the graphics were way beyond my expectations. The download played smoothly on my computer so I bought it. The only bad thing I have to say is it loads kind of slow. This game is easy depending on the difficulty you choose. I love this game I play this game every day.
MORE PLEASE? September 17, 2008 Matthew R. Jacks Generally when a simulation game is made for console and then converted to PC (with the exception of top road racing games) a lot is left out and traditional PC sim nuts are left wanting more. I think there is much room for improvement in Deadliest Catch for those who will literally stay up all night (after night) studying water temperatures, ocean floor topography, bait choice, crew morals, provisions to load on the boat, complex info on other vessel's strings and habits, and basically all the complication of the real thing. I gave this 3 stars because I'm able to get what I can out of it and I've logged quite a few seasons. It's fun and not overly tedious.. its just too simplistic. What I really hope is that someone like UBI will buy this license and remake this game in a VASTLY more immersive manner with multi-players working for others (or above players) on ships. I can also imagine that you can play the Coast Guard at times, throw the hook for a living, search for the best prices on parts and crab sales, start out with a very small boat until you can afford another, have your players gain real experience.
