Amazon.com Product Description A carnage-heavy, 3-D kin to Demolition Derby 2, this version leaves the damaged vehicles (16 in every race!) on the track in your path as you play. This game rewards you for the damage you do rather than your dexterity in avoiding collisions.

Ready for PS2 Demolition Racer!!! September 29, 2003 W.D. Carter (Pennsylvania) This is probably the game that I have played the most out of all of my games. No two races are the same! I get to race, smash, and kill cars. The greatest challenge is "death from above" where I can get a whopping amount of points for landing on top of other cars after a jump. I am amazed that many gamers and game store folk have not heard of this game. I would spend $50 without blinking if they put this game out on PS2. I prefer using the analog steering for better control. The closest thing to the action and fun of this game is playing GTA3 and trying the "Turismo" or "Bling Bling Scramble" missions with a fast car. However, the challenge in DR is not only winning, but being the one with the most damage points in the end. The negatives in this game are confederate flags and rock music that gets old quickly.
bang-em high May 22, 2001 If your in the mood to just drive around and bang and hit other cars this is the game that you have to get. The steering is a little challenging and loose otherwise the rest of the game is great. You really got work to win the new tracks but it's worth it. You can last alot longer in the demo mode by driving in reverse na din the regular mode you really got to concentrate because of the loose steering. The grahpics are just great and there's a few bonuses in the game if you persistant enough.
Loads of Fun January 15, 2001 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Although this game lacks a bit in depth, it's a great game that I tend to play frequently to kill time. It's fun to see how many cars you can kill in racing mode - I have yet to get them all!

I bought this game solely on the basis of Gamespots product review. After playing this game i can no longer trust Gamespots reviews. They said that the game has good controls. After playing this game for a couple of hours i can say honestly that the steering is AWFUL! The rest of the game looks good but if you can't steer without running into the wall why bother. My recommendation is don't waste your money like i did.
